Just three days after resuming filming The Batman, production has once again shut down – after a member of the production tested positive for coronavirus.
According to Vanity Fair, the film’s star, Robert Pattinson, reportedly tested positive for the virus.
Warner Bros. confirmed the halt in production in a statement, explaining, “A member of The Batman production has tested positive for Covid-19, and is isolating in accordance with established protocols. Filming is temporarily paused.” However, they did not mention the identity of the person in question.
RPatz’s rep is yet to respond to requests for comment.
The Batman was among the projects that shut down in March when the quarantine lock down first hit – and only recently resumed work in studios outside of London.
Fans already got to see Robert in action as the titular Caped Crusader in the teaser trailer that director Matt Reeves dropped during the DC FanDome last month. The trailer also offered a sneak peek at Zoe Kravitz as Selena Kyle and Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon.
“I’m very anxious to get back to work and continue to form this beloved character. I’ve always been a massive fan,” Robert said via satellite during the panel.
