Rose Leslie is speaking out about her pregnancy for the first time.
ICYMI, Rose and husband Kit Harrington, are expecting their first child together. They revealed the pregnancy last month, when Rose showed off her baby bump during the photoshoot for her cover story in Make Magazine.
Ursula Lake, the fashion director for Make Magazine, also shared the photo on Instagram, writing, “A very special all woman team photographic shoot capturing Rose at this wonderful time as she prepares for motherhood for the first time!”
However, apart from the baby bump reveal, Rose didn’t talk about her pregnancy at the time.
In a recent interview with the New York Post, the actress opened up about her pregnancy for the first time.
“I am thrilled to be expecting, and I can’t wait to meet the new member of our family!” she told the publication.
Kit and Rose were onscreen love interests on the set of Game of Thrones. Turns out their undeniable chemistry on camera spilled into real life, and the two eventually tied the knot in 2018. The couple are currently living in East Anglia, England, in “the house that Jon Snow built,” as Rose puts it.
“It’s incredibly old. We have a thatched roof, which currently has an enormous hornet’s nest in it. I do love to think about the house and all the people who have lived there. Were they happy, how did they live? All the families passing under those ancient beams,” she told Make Magazine. “What a glorious thing to be able to run to the countryside and recoup. It’s a great privilege to be surrounded by greenery, birdsong and hedgerows, and our delightful neighbours. It’s so peaceful.”
