Sarah Hyland is currently starring in Pitch Perfect: Bumper In Berlin, the new Peacock series following the Adam Devine’s character in the Pitch Perfect films.
It’s the second time Sarah and Adam are working together, after he played her love interest on Modern Family. But as it turns out, they almost worked together on the big screen as well!
While doing promo for the show, Sara revealed that she auditioned for Pick Perfect 2. She candidly shared that she did not get the role because she “was just a little bit too short” for the movie, stating:
“That’s the only reason that I heard!”
In a separate interview, Sarah and Adam also opened up about working together again. Sarah told TheWrap:
“I personally think it was so easy. I mean, we have such chemistry, and we’re such good friends outside for so long now, that like, we have that trust and vulnerability with each other.
And we’re really good at staring into each other’s eyes lovingly, but also confused about what the other is thinking. So it was good, we’re real good at that.”
Adam added that this was something they “mastered” early on:
“It might be hard for Sarah, but it’s pretty easy for me.”
