For three years, Saweetie and Quavo have been one of rap’s hottest couple. But the two started sparking split speculations ever since eagle-eyed fans noticed that they were no longer following each other on social media.

Saweetie confirmed the rumors on Friday (March 19), announcing on Twitter, “I’m single.”

And, apparently, there’s quite a bit of drama involved.

“I’ve endured too much betrayal and hurt behind the scenes for a false narrative to be circulating that degrades my character,” she continued. “Presents don’t band aid scars and the love isn’t real when the intimacy is given to other women.”

“I emotionally checked out a long time ago and have walked away with a deep sense of peace and freedom. Excited for this new chapter of elevation,” she went on.

OMG, right? Not just once but “too much”?

But Quavo didn’t let her comments slide uncontested, and broke his silence about their split and those cheating allegations.

“I know you want to make this into a show so I’ll play my part just this one time. I don’t normally put my business out there, especially my personal life. I feel the need to address this so there are no false narratives,” he tweeted.

He also added, “I had love for you and disappointed you did all that. You are not the woman I thought you were. I wish you nothing but the best [prayer hands emoji]”

But it looks like Saweetie’s said all she had to say and just responded: “Take care.”

Quavo and Saweetie started dating in 2018. However, their relationship has been plagued with rumors of Quavo’s infidelity. Throughout their relationship, Saweetie stood by her man and defended him – right up until November of last year.

It’s unclear when exactly the pair broke up, but Saweetie has been candid about how being in the spotlight has affected their relationship.

“In the beginning, there was a lot of false narratives that kind of surrounded our love,” Saweetie told Entertainment Tonight in October, referring to rumors that them dating was just a publicity thing.

“I think, because we’re not so transparent and we don’t share everything, it’s easy for people to put a narrative or a story behind something,” she said. “And then other people run with it because they don’t understand. And when they don’t understand, you try to make yourself understand, and that’s when all these rumors started circulating.”
