Selma Blair has been granted a restraining order against her ex boyfriend.
A judge granted the protective order following the arrest of Selma’s ex, Ronald Carlson, last month on charges of domestic violence. The two dated for about seven years.
Court records show that Selma and Ron’s long-term relationship recently ended. On February 22, Ron allegedly came over to Selma’s home to drop off a TV set.
The actress says that she told Ron she was not feeling well and was under heavy medication as part of her treatment for multiple sclerosis. In response, Ron allegedly verbally assaulted her, yelling, “You f**ked up, you can’t do anything, you can’t love anybody, you’re f**king useless, you cripple.”
She claims to have responded by saying, “I don’t f**king deserve this, I can do so much better than you,” after which Ron is said to have lunged at her and attempted to strangle her. Selma also alleged that he placed his hands over her nose and mouth, causing her to lose consciousness during the alleged altercation.
Police arrived, and she was taken to the hospital.
Ron was arrested for felony domestic violence with corporal injuries. He denies Selma’s account, and has filed a request for a protective order against her.
