Shakira is definitely not holding back.
The 45-year-old Colombian superstar has just released a scorching diss track titled “BZRO Music Session #53” alongside Argentine artist Bizarrap — and from the looks of the lyrics, it seems she is coming for her ex, Gerard Pique.
The four-minute long dance-pop song contains many shady lines and verses, all seemingly directed at Gerard and his reported new girlfriend, 23-year-old Clara Chia Marti.
Shakira and Gerard ended their relationship back in 2022 after being together for 11 years. Shortly after, Gerard was spotted with Clara.
Check out the shady lyrics:
“You’re acting so weird I don’t even recognize you / I’m worth two 22 year olds / You traded in a Ferrari for a Twingo / You traded in a Rolex for a Casio.”
In this, Shakira seems to be directly referencing Clara’s age when Gerard first got together with her.
“You’re all worked up… slow down / So much time at the gym, but maybe work out your brain a bit too”
She also seems to be going after the soccer player’s intelligence as compared to his athletic prowess.
“She’s got the name of a good person, clearly, it’s not how it sounds — Clara-mente.”
Shakira seems to be referring to the name of Gerard’s new flame, putting a meaningful pause to emphasize “Clara” in ‘claramente.’
“You left me with your mom as a neighbor / the press at my door, and a debt with the Treasury.”
As many may know, Shakira is currently embroiled in an ongoing tax fraud legal battle.
“Yo solo hago música, perdón que te salpique” (“I only make music, sorry that it splashes you.”)
Here, she plays with the pronunciation of the word “salpique” to emphasize “Pique” aka here’s name.
“A she wolf like me isn’t for rookies / A she wolf like me isn’t for guys like you.”
She refers to her hit track “She-Wolf” from 2009.
“So much talk of being a champion, and when I needed you, you gave me the worst version of you.”
Recently, she opened up in an interview about going through perhaps the most challenging times in her life.
Also, check out the English lyrics below:
Sorry, I’ve already caught another plane,
I won’t be back here
I don’t want any more disappointments,
So much talk of being a champion
and when I needed you
you gave me the worst version of you
Sorry
Baby
It’s been
a while
Since I
should have
Booted that cat
A she wolf like me isn’t for rookies
A she wolf like me isn’t for guys like you
For guys like you
I was out of your league that’s why you’re
with someone just like you
This is for you to be mortified,
to chew and swallow, swallow and chew
I won’t get back with you, not if you cry, not even if you beg me
It’s clear that it’s not my fault if they criticize you
I only make music, sorry if it splashes you
You left me with your mom as a neighbor
the press at my door, and a debt with the Treasury
You thought you’d hurt me but you made me stronger
women no longer cry, women get paid
She’s got the name of a good person,
clearly
It’s not how it sounds
she’s got the name of a good person,
clearly
she’s just like you
for guys like you
I was out of your league, that’s why you’re
with someone just like you
ooohhhh ooohhh
There’s a thin line between love and hate,
don’t come back here, trust me
No hard feelings babe,
I wish you good luck
with my so-called replacement
I don’t even know what happened,
you’re acting so weird I don’t even recognize you
I’m worth two 22 year olds
You traded in a Ferrari for a Twingo
You traded in a Rolex for a Casio
You’re all worked up ….slow down
so much time at the gym
but maybe work out your brain a bit too
Pictures wherever I go…
I feel like a hostage here,
but it’s all good
I can be out by tomorrow, and be my guest if you want to move her in too
She’s got the name of a good person,
clearly
It’s not how it sounds
she’s got the name of a good person,
A she wolf like me isn’t for guys like you
For guys like you
I was out of your league that’s why you’ve settled for
someone just like you
ahhh ohhhh
For guys
For For For guys like
For guys
For For For guys
I was out of your league that’s why you’ve settled for
someone just like you
