Shemar Moore is about to take on an exciting new role: Fatherhood.
The 52-year-old S.W.A.T. star and Criminal Minds alum announced that he is about to become a dad. He dropped the joyful announcement in an upcoming appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, which will be airing on January 26.
Shemar shared that happy news to Jennifer Hudson, saying that he and girlfriend Desiree Dixon are expecting their first child together, a baby girl. He sweetly stated:
“My mother is in heaven right now. It’ll be the three-year anniversary on February 8.
On February 8, I’m gonna make one of her dreams come true because in real life, Shemar Moore is about to be a daddy.”
He went on to share that he is very excited but also a bit worried:
“I was worried for awhile that maybe that ship had sailed… God had my back and things lined up and it’s gonna be the best part of my life.
My life is grand, but I know whenever God does call my name once I get this experience, I’ll be able to go to heaven whole.”
