Simu Liu seems to be reacting to that video of him and Ryan Gosling that’s been going viral.
In case you missed it, a video has been circulating online of Simu and Ryan on the red carpet of their film, Barbie. In the clip, Simu can be seen trying to put his hand around Ryan, but then Ryan stops him.
Fans were quick to dissect the video and speculate on what it meant, with many calling the interaction awkward and even speculating that Ryan and Simu do not like each other.
Now, Simu has seemingly responded to the speculations.
Taking to Instagram Story, he referenced the Barbie movie beach pun as well as Ryan’s Canadian heritage as he said:
“I’d beach off with this Kenadian again in a heartbeat.
He is the best human in every way, especially when he jokes around with us on the carpet and on set, infecting all of us with his kenergy.”
The Marvel star went on to put the focus back on the ongoing strike:
“Now let’s get back to the issues that matter, like supporting our striking actors and writers fighting for fair wages!”
