Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have a new addition to their family!
The Game of Thrones star and the Jonas brother have welcomed their first child!
Their rep confirmed the news in a statement: “Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas are delighted to announce the birth of their baby.”
Congrats, Joe and Sophie!
So far, the new parents haven’t shared additional details about their little bundle of joy – or even posted about the happy news on social media.
A source also told Entertainment Tonight, “The couple is already obsessed and can’t stop gloating about their new addition. The couple is taking time to enjoy this special moment and have only shared the news and updates with family and friends.”
According to TMZ, Sophie gave birth on July 22 to a baby girl – they named her Willa.
Interestingly, the Jonas Brothers dropped a new EP on Friday (July 24) titled “Dance With Joe” – just two days after they welcomed their baby girl. And fans are convinced that it was a hint about Joe celebrating becoming a dad.
The EP has six songs – composed of DNCE and JoBros tracks – including newly released “X”, “What A Man Gotta Do”, “Cake By The Ocean”, “Every Single Time”, “Body Moves”, and “Video Girl”.
“So when Joe released the Dance with Joe EP, he really was celebrating the birth of his daughter,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“WAIT DO YALL REMEMBER THE PLAYLIST DANCE WITH JOE??? WHAT IF THAT WAS TO CELEBRATE FOR WILLA.” another fan tweeted, adding, “willa was born the 22 and this was published the 24 THERE HAS TO BE A CORRELATION IT’S LITERALLY CALLED DANCE WITH JOE”
Other fans pointed out that since Nick and Kevin have not released a similar EP/playlist, the release was probably to celebrate a significant moment in Joe’s life, ergo Willa’s birth.
Reports that Joe and Sophie were expecting their first child together first made the rounds back in February. A month later, they were spotted shopping at a children’s store in Studio City, Calilfornia.
The couple has pretty much kept the pregnancy on the DL – Sophie’s choice of loose clothing hid her growing baby bump at first. In recent weeks, however, Sophie’s baby bump has been clearly visible during their outings.
