Sydney Sweeney is not shying away from the topic of her salary.

In a cover story with THR, the 24-year-old Euphoria actress opened up about her pay as an actress.

She is currently working on the Spider-Man spinoff Madame Web, and candidly spoke about what she makes as an actress and how it all gets divided once she receives her fee. Sydney admitted:

“If I wanted to take a six month break, I don’t have income to cover that.

I don’t have someone supporting me. They don’t pay actors like they used to, and with streamers, you no longer get residuals.”

She expounded on where her salary goes:

“The established stars still get paid, but I have to give 5 percent to my lawyer, 10 percent to my agents, 3 percent or something like that to my business manager. I have to pay my publicist every month and that’s more than my mortgage.”

Sydney also spoke candidly about the reality of what goes on behind the scenes in the industry, stating:

“It’s built to try to make you backstab people. It’s insane. My agent is my best teammate, and I’ll have her forever…

I see how people are like, ‘We support each other’ — and I’m like, ‘No. You f—king don’t.’”

When she was asked if she talks to her Euphoria co-stars about this, she had this to say:

“We don’t really talk about that kind of stuff.”
