Taylor Swift has officially moved on from the drama surrounding Scooter Braun and her master recordings, according to her team.
If you’re not familiar with the saga, the 34-year-old pop icon and the renowned manager clashed over the ownership of her masters. Scooter Braun acquired them when he bought her former record label, Big Machine Label Group, a move that famously spurred Taylor to re-record her first albums to regain control of her music.
Today, Taylor is nearly finished sharing “Taylor’s Versions” of her earliest work, reclaiming her legacy piece by piece. Years after this high-profile feud began, Discovery+ released a docuseries titled Taylor Swift vs. Scooter Braun: Bad Blood, which chronicled the entire ordeal.
In response to the docuseries, Taylor’s team released a statement to clarify her current stance. According to People, Taylor “has completely moved on from this saga.” The statement elaborated: “Taylor has completely moved on from this saga and has turned what started out as an extremely painful situation into one of the most fulfilling endeavors of her life.”
The statement continued with a powerful affirmation of Taylor’s enduring impact: “None of these men will ever be able to take anything away from Taylor’s legacy as a songwriter, singer, director, philanthropist, and advocate for artists’ rights.”
Some fans, known as Swifties, speculated that Taylor might have subtly addressed Scooter Braun during a recent performance. While she didn’t directly reference the feud, her team’s statement makes it clear that she has moved beyond it.
