A new era of Taylor Swift has officially begun.
On Friday (March 17), the 33-year-old superstar launched her The Eras Tour. She kicked off her tour by performing for 70,000 fans at State Farm Stadium in Arizona on Friday.
She has more than 50 dates on tour already scheduled. And it is believed that she will be adding international shows later in the year. Her US tour will continue until August, when it will be wrapping up with five shows in LA.
Taylor’s set list consists of 44 songs performed in a three-hour show. She did not take any breaks all throughout, except for set changes and costume swaps. There were no intermissions.
She played to a sold-out crowd, dazzling in 16 costume changes. Reportedly, on night two she sparkled in a fleet of new costumes as well!
Taylor will reportedly perform a surprise song at every show, and she will be perfuming the song acoustic-style. She said during the first show:
“So my plan, who knows if I’ll stick to it, but the plan, the goal, would be to play different songs every night and never repeat one. So that when you heard one on this tour, you’ll know it’s the only time that I was going to play it in the acoustic set, unless caveat, unless I mess it up so badly that I have to do it over again in some other city.”
