Reunions are surefire ways to get anyone nostalgic and in their feelings – and more and more of our favorite shows of yesteryears are getting everyone together again.
There’s a new Parks and Rec story!
Amy Poehler, Chris Pratt, Nick Offerman, Adam Scott, Rob Lowe, Rashida Jones, Aubrey Plaza, Aziz Ansari, Retta and Jim O’Heir are (remotely) reuniting for a scripted half-hour Parks and Recreation special – and they’ll be in character!
In the show, A Parks and Recreation Special, Leslie Knope (played by Amy) is determined to stay connected to her pals while social distancing, taking a pretty meta approach with present-day IRL quarantine situation amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Chris shared on social media on Thursday (April 23) that they’ve already filmed the episode.
“It’s true! We’ve already filmed the episode!” he wrote, and jokingly added, “Many are saying it’s the greatest episode of television ever to be filmed in Quarantine. It’s not a competition. But if it was… we would easily win. People in need get help. And we FINALLY get that Emmy. Right?
“That’s how this works? Ok. See you soon!!” he concluded.
The Parks and Rec reunion telecast will be the first scripted television show to air during quarantine. It was created to raise money for Feeding America’s COVID-19 Response Fund, so food banks can continue to serve the most vulnerable members of the community during this difficult time.
The special is set to air on Thursday (April 30), 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on NBC. Get ready to treat yo self!

Demi Lovato will also have fans reminiscing about her days as Sonny Munroe on Disney’s Sonny With A Chance. She, Tiffany Thornton, Sterling Knight, Brandon Mychal Smith, Allisyn Snyder and five other cast members are virtually reuniting on Instagram on Saturday (April 25).
Tiff, Sterling, Brandon and Allisyn all posted the flier with the deets on their Instagram accounts.
