They know it’s what we want, what we really, really want. So the Spice Girls just added more dates to their highly anticipated 2019 UK Stadium Tour!

On Saturday (November 10), tickets went on sale for the tour at 10:30AM UK time – and were snapped up by eager fans. Countless raced to get the coveted tickets. In fact, reports have it that it sold out in just minutes!

Spice Girls fans voiced their complaints online about not being able to get their tickets, as seller Ticketmaster struggled to keep up with the demand, posting on Twitter:

“It’s a VERY busy morning and we’re selling tickets fast. To ensure fair access some of you may see queue pages, please follow the instructions.”

Mel C aka Sporty Spice took to social media to thank everyone for their overwhelming support. She wrote on Twitter:

“I know you’ve been bombarded with promo stuff lately but I just wanted to say I’m completely overwhelmed with the response to our tour. Wow! I did not expect that. It’s going to be AMAZING!! Thank you so much!”

She, along with Mel B (Scary), Geri Haliwell (Ginger), and Emma Bunton (Baby) are all reuniting for the upcoming tour. Victoria Beckham aka Posh Spice, as been previously reported, will not be joining them – but has taken to social media to voice our her support and love for her Girls.

The four have likewise expressed their love and understanding regarding Victoria’s decision.

In her acceptance speech at the 2018 People’s Choice Awards on Sunday night (November 11) where she was honored with the Fashion Icon Award, Victoria referenced the Spice Girls and seemingly shed some light as to why she will not be going on tour with them.

Check out her speech here (and check out the Spice Girls lyrics woven in!):

“I do apologize for reading off of cards, but I hung up my microphone some time ago, and I get a little scared when I get on stage and I see a mic.

This award really does mean so much to me. 10 years ago, I embarked on the most exciting, nerve-racking and all-consuming vision. And to have that recognized here tonight is just incredible.

I always told myself, ‘Dream big, and then dream even bigger.’ And I wanted to show that, if I can do it, then really anyone can do it. And what you can achieve really can be limitless, if you, I can’t help it, if you really, really want it, OK?

They told me at the table, they said, ‘You’ve come all the way from London, you’ve got to get up then and you’ve got to give them what they want, what they really, really want. That’s all I’m saying.”

She concluded by sweetly paying homage to the Spice Girls’ ‘Girl Power’ mantra, and the strong women who’ve surrounded her for many years:

”So many years ago, I started with girl power, and now that message is still as strong as ever, but now it’s through the privilege of being able to empower women through my designs. I’ve always been surrounded by strong, supportive women. And that’s as true now as it was back then. So, for all the women out there who have ever been doubted or doubted themselves, this award tonight is for all of us.”
