The Weeknd is making a declaration regarding his music career.
The 33-year-old entertainer announced during a concert in Warsaw, Poland on Tuesday (August 8) that he would no longer collaborate with other artists in the future. But he added later on that there was one notable exception to his statement.
He said onstage:
“The next song I’m about to perform is an unreleased record. I haven’t dropped it yet.
It’s called ‘Another One Of Me.’ But I just want to say this is gonna b e the last feature I ever do, in my career so I want to perform it for you guys tonight.”
Later in the week, he shared the clip on Twitter, and in his caption he revealed that there was one exception to what he said regarding doing features:
“The final feature… unless daft punk ever get back together.”
A rep for The Weeknd told outlets that he “will not be ding any more features for his music career (unless daft punk regroup!).” They added that the release date for the new track is not ready to be revealed just yet.
