Katie Holmes has been making headlines for her PDA-filled dates with 33-year-old chef Emilio Vitolo.
The pair was first spotted out together last week – enjoying an evening at the Antique Garage, a Mediterranean restaurant in Manhattan, New York.
On Monday (September 7), they were spotted at another NYC restaurant – and they were packing on the PDA. In photos obtained by The Daily Mail, Katie was photographed sitting on Emilio’s lap. And they also shared a sweet kiss, too!
On Tuesday (September 8), they were again snapped looking all loved up with their arms wrapped around each other and gazing adoringly into each others’ eyes outside Emilio’s dad’s restaurant, Emilio’s Ballato – his dad is Emilio Vitolo, Sr.
But there was some major drama that allegedly went on just days before photos of Katie and Emilio went viral.
According to Page Six, Emilio was allegedly engaged to another woman up until a few days before photos of him and Katie on their date went viral.
He also reportedly broke up with his fiancé of 18 months, designer Rachel Emmons, via text, Daily Mail reported – and did not mention anything about Katie. At. All.
One of Rachel’s friends told the outlet, “Up to this press coming out, Rachel had no idea what was going on.”
“He is a cheater, and this isn’t a ‘happy ending’ story,” they added.
“They had concrete wedding plans in the works … now she is just left with bad press and forced to move home.”
According to The Sun, Rachel was “blindsided” by the break-up – and only found out that Emilio was seeing Katie after friends sent her articles.
“She thinks it’s disrespectful for it to be so public,” a friend told the outlet, adding that it was “bizarre and disappointing.”
“Rachel feels Emilio could have been more honest and dealt with it like a gentleman and face-to-face.”
“Nobody really knows if Katie was aware he was with Rachel. If she did, it’s a bad example to set for her daughter,” the friend added.
Rachel declined to comment, per the Daily Mail.
It’s not exactly clear how long Katie and Emilio have known each other, but Entertainment Tonight reports that he dropped a comment on one of Katie’s posts back in July.
Emilio is the first guy Katie has been linked with since her split from Jamie Foxx in August last year – and they certainly don’t seem to be keeping things on the DL. According to an Entertainment Tonight source, “Katie is like a teenager in love right now — he makes her giddy!”
