10 years ago, a 10-year-old girl wrote a song and sang it on TV. Real Housewives Of New Jersey fans might be familiar with it – Gia Guidice’s “Sad Song,” which she performed during her sister’s birthday party in a 2011 episode of the show.

While it didn’t exactly hit mainstream, the song, which opens with the line “Waking up in the morning, thinking about so many things,” is going viral on TikTok – and even A-list celebs are getting in on it.

Last week, Will Smith shared his own “Sad Song” post on social media, putting his own spin on it by remixing it with his own song, the unreleased “Freak Accident.”

“Remembering the time I thought it would be a good idea to make a St. Patrick’s Day video alone in a hotel room,” he wrote over the video of himself looking sad, before cutting to a throwback clip from St. Patrick’s Day 2018, where he performed “Freak Accident” dressed up in an all-green ensemble, complete with a kilt.

He also poked fun at himself in the caption, writing, “I’m a triple threat: I’m an actor, rapper, and whatever this is.”

Gia, who is Teresa and Joe Guidice’s eldest daughter, is now 20 – and she’s totally stoked about the whole thing.

“I had a bunch of friends sending me text messages saying Will Smith was singing your song on Instagram and when I saw it, I couldn’t believe it,” Gia told E! News. “I love Will Smith and I thought it was really cool that he did that.”

On Friday (March 26), another music star gave Gia’s song a shoutout on social media – Cardi B, who was debating whether to delete her TikTok, but is leaning towards staying to get her “Sad Song” fix.

“Thinking about deleting this app until I drop my next little project,” she wrote on Twitter, referring to TikTok. “… but then again where I’m going to hear ‘wakin up in the morning thinkin about so many things I just wish things will get better’?”

Well, Gia did what anyone getting an “unreal” shoutout from Cardi would – she freaked out.

Not wasting any time, she responded to Cardi’s tweet, writing, “This is unreal!! CARDI I’m in Bahamas let’s meet up.”

By now, Gia’s accepted the fact that “This is gonna haunt me my whole life” – and even ended up making her own TikTok to “Sad Song.”
