It’s not unusual to spot stars around their neighborhood – running errands, going for a walk, or taking their dogs on walks. However, a recent sighting of Zach Braff and Florence Pugh is majorly sparking speculations that the two have tied the knot on the DL.
Over the weekend, the couple was snapped taking their dog, Billie, for a walk around Los Angeles. They were dressed casually for the outing, with Zach in a blue henley, gray pants, sneakers and a black face mask. Florence, on the other, hand was sporting a lilac T-shirt, black shorts and white sneakers with a striped face mask.
However, it’s Zach’s new accessory that’s got fans buzzing – he was wearing a ring on his left ring finger. While a band on ~that~ finger does not necessarily mean it’s a symbol of marriage – and Flo’s fingers, particulary ~that~ finger, were noticeably bare – Zach’s birthday tribute for Flo in January was uber sweet, with possible hints at their new relationship status.
“Happy Birthday to the most fun person I’ve ever met. I would have felt blessed to have smiled with your [sic] for one night. I can’t believe I get to giggle with you everyday,” he captioned photos from their adventures together.
“What a pleasure it is to know you. What a gift to the world it was that you were born,” he concluded.
Their reps are yet to respond to requests for comment about the possible marriage news.
The couple first became friends after working together in Zach’s short film, In The Time It Takes to Get There. They low-key became Instagram official in October 2019, when Zach shared a photo of Flo and three friends, captioned, “People I love.”
In April of last year, Flo went on social media to clap back at people criticizing their relationship – particularly their 21-year age difference.
“I would never in my life — ever, ever — tell anyone who they can or cannot love. It is not your place. And really, it has nothing to do with you,” she said, in part, during the almost-four-minute long video . “The abuse that you throw at him is abuse that you’re throwing at me.”
In another interview, months after her IG video, she remarked on the “weird” phenomenon where people think they “have a say” over actors’ private lives.
“I’ve always found it funny, how I can be good enough for people to watch my work, and support my work, and pay for tickets, and I’m old enough to be an adult and pay taxes, but I’m not old enough to know who I should and should not have sex with,” Flo said during an appearance on Sue Perkins: An Hour or So With.
“Once again, [it’s] making a young woman feel like s–t for no reason. I think I did feel s–t for awhile about admitting that, and then I thought, ‘How ridiculous is that?’” she continued.
“I’m 24 and I can’t choose who I love… There’s a reason why I’m not with someone my age — it hasn’t worked,” the actress added. “So who are you trying to match me up with?”
“The fact is I’m not a reality TV star, I don’t let people into my life like that,” she went on. “Since when has it been OK for people to shout at someone for their relationship? It’s crazy to me.”
During an interview with Mr. Porter in November, the 45-year-old actor praised his girlfriend for the way she handled the criticism about their relationship.
“She literally sat down, hit record on her phone and said that,” Zach said, referring to Flo’s Instagram post in April. “I thought, ‘How could I possibly follow anything as intelligent and articulate as that?’ So, I chose not to.”
