Selena Gomez has exciting news for her fans – new music is on the way!
Back in February, Selena had fans in a tizzy when she posted a video of her, along with a bunch of people, in a recording studio on Instagram. “This week, next week and every week,” she wrote alongside the post.
She followed it up with an update in May – sharing a photo of her in a studio, with shades on, captioned: “Studio diva.”
Selena’s new movie, The Dead Don’t Die, is about to hit the silver screens (this Friday, June 14!) and she gave another update during an interview on the red carpet.
“Yes! Yes! It’s finally done,” she told ET.
Fans have still been eagerly anticipating a full-length album and Selena previously shared about what people can expect in her upcoming album.
“Working on this new record, I just wanted it to be me, all me,” she said on the premiere episode of Coach’s podcast Dream It Real. “Every song is a story I’ve experienced. To that point, I think there’s no one who’s going to tell my story better than myself. I just really wanted to kind of just live with my story a bit and create it into something that means a lot to me.”
Justin Tranter, who co-wrote “Bad Liar” and also has writing creds on Revival, also confirmed his involvement in the project.
It’s been three and a half years since Revival dropped, and Selena’s tided fans over by releasing standalone songs over the years – like “Bad Liar,” “Fetish,” – and collaborations with other artists like Marshmello’s “Wolves,” DJ Snake’s “Taki Taki” featuring her, Ozuna & Cardi B, “Anxiety” with Julia Michaels, and “I Can’t Get Enough” with Benny Blanco, Tainy, & J Balvin.
