Vittoria Ceretti is opening up about her private life in a rare interview, shedding light on her relationship with Leonardo DiCaprio while making it clear she doesn’t want to be defined by it.
The 26-year-old Italian model and the 50-year-old Oscar-winning actor have been linked since 2023, but they’ve kept things largely out of the public eye. In a new conversation with Vogue France, Vittoria spoke candidly about the challenges of dating someone with an enormous public profile.
“As soon as you’re in a relationship with someone who has a larger following than you, you become ‘girlfriend of’—or ‘boyfriend of,’ for that matter,” she explained, without explicitly naming Leo. “And that can be extremely annoying. Suddenly, people are talking about you as so-and-so’s girlfriend who was so-and-so’s ex… So it’s not nice to think that you can’t love whoever you want, because of the labels people need to stick on you.”
Despite the scrutiny, Vittoria had nothing but admiration for Leo. When asked about their relationship, she shared a simple but powerful sentiment: “If you know you love each other, then there’s no reason to be alarmed. Because love protects and gives confidence.”
She also revealed that they first met in Milan, though she opted not to share further details. And as for Titanic, the film that cemented Leo’s heartthrob status? “Who hasn’t seen it? Or didn’t like it? It’s an iconic film,” she said.
Vittoria may not love the spotlight on her personal life, but one thing’s clear: she’s forging her own path, no labels attached.
