Kelly Clarkson has been noticeably absent from her daytime talk show, leaving fans wondering where she’s been. While the 42-year-old singer and host hasn’t directly addressed her absence, she did break her silence with a message on Instagram.

In the meantime, The Kelly Clarkson Show has continued with a rotating lineup of guest hosts, including Wanda Sykes, Brooke Shields, Kevin Hart, Roy Wood Jr., Simu Liu, and Willie Geist. Most recently, Molly Sims took over hosting duties on March 14. With no official explanation, speculation has been swirling among her loyal audience.

Simu Liu, who stepped in as host last week, admitted that he was just as surprised as everyone else. “Here’s the thing, I did not know that I was doing this until five minutes ago when I arrived here to promote my new movie Last Breath… so I’m here now, and I’m not one to back down from a challenge,” he told the audience. Beyond that, there’s been no further discussion about Kelly’s whereabouts on the show itself.

According to TMZ, sources close to the singer assure fans that she is fine. “Kelly herself is completely fine. She’s been dealing with a personal matter that does not directly involve her,” the report stated, adding that she was originally scheduled to return to filming on March 13.

On March 14, Kelly took to Instagram Stories with a career update instead. She revealed her latest collaboration with Rascal Flatts on a new rendition of their hit song “I’m Movin’ On,” featured on their upcoming album, Life Is a Highway: Refueled Duets. “Thanks @rascalflatts for letting me jump on ‘I’m Movin’ On’ ❤️ I have always loved this song!” she wrote.

While it wasn’t the update fans were hoping for, it’s a promising sign that she’ll be back in action soon!
