Will Smith is back in the music game! The Oscar-winning actor and Grammy-winning artist is making a major return with his first full-length album in more than two decades. Titled Based on a True Story, the album is set to drop on March 28, bringing a fresh collection of tracks that blend nostalgia with his signature storytelling.
The album will feature 14 tracks, including previously released singles like “First Love,” “Beautiful Scars,” “TANTRUM,” “Work of Art,” and “You Can Make It.” Fans can also expect exciting collaborations with DJ Jazzy Jeff, Teyana Taylor, and Big Sean, among others. With such a lineup, the project is shaping up to be a big moment for Smith as he reclaims his spot in the music industry.
And that’s not all—Smith is taking his music on the road! The Based on a True Story Summer Tour kicks off later this year, hitting major cities across Morocco, Europe, and the UK. He’s also set to headline some of the biggest international festivals, including Mawazine in Morocco, POSITIV Festival in France, Dreambeach in Spain, and BIG ART Festival in Italy.
The tour officially starts on July 13 in Hamburg, Germany, before making stops in Frankfurt, Cardiff, Manchester, London, Paris, and more. Fans eager to catch him live can grab tickets when they go on sale on Friday, March 21, at 10 a.m. local time. Early access registration is available, and resale sites like StubHub and Vivid Seats will also have options for those who miss out on the initial release.
During these live shows, Smith will not only debut his new material but also perform some of his most iconic hits—expect crowd-pleasers like “Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It,” “Miami,” and “Summertime” to bring the energy levels up.
