Mandy Moore and hubby Tyler Goldsmith recently welcomed their first child – August Harrison “Gus” Goldsmith.
The new mom shared the happy news on social media on Tuesday (February 23), sharing an adorable photo of their little bundle of joy on social media.
“Our sweet boy,” Mandy captioned her post. “He was punctual and arrived right on his due date, much to the delight of his parents. We were prepared to fall in love in all sorts of brand new ways, but it goes beyond anything we could have ever imagined.”
The couple’s celeb friends took to the comments section to congratulate them.
“Such precision Gus! Congrats you guys. Enjoy the most profound ride x,” Vanessa Carlton wrote.
“Congratulations!! Sweet little Gus! Much love to the whole family! 💗✨” Alison Brie commented.

Also hopping on the comments section to send his well-wishes to the new parents is Mandy’s ex, Wilmer Valderrama. The two dated back in 2000-2002 and have remained friends since – he even attended the wedding reception when Mandy and Taylor tied the knot in November 2018.
“Yes!!! What an amazing gift, you two incredible souls will be inspiring parents!!” Wilmer wrote. “Enjoy every breath of this new chapter! This young man is destined to brighten the world up.”
ICYMI, Wilmer recently became a dad himself – he welcomed his first child with fiancée Amanda Pacheco on February 15.
Wilmer and Amanda announced the arrival of their daughter on Sunday (February 21), with a joint statement on social media. “Life is an ever evolving journey, and for all those times when our path needs a light.. often angels are sent to show us the way and that we can be more.. straight out of heaven we welcome our first daughter,” they wrote.
And, you guessed it, Mandy sent them a sweet congratulatory message, too!
“Look at that gorgeous angel! Congrats to [you] and your beautiful family and can’t wait to meet her!!” Mandy wrote in the comments.

In case you were wondering, Mandy recently revealed the sweet meaning behind her son’s name.
The new mom shared a photo of a gray blanket with her son’s name August embroidered in one corner – the name featured a pink “A” and a white “T.”
“It was last August when @taylordawesgoldsmith and I found out we were having a boy (it’s also Taylor’s birth month) and we always loved the name… so it was settled very early on in our book,” Mandy explained how they chose the name. “Then for our anniversary in November, T gifted me with this blanket with the ‘A’ (for Amanda) made from extra material from my wedding dress and ‘T’ (for Taylor) from his wedding shirt.”
“Felt like a very fitting amalgamation of our whole story,” she added. “I can’t wait to pass this on to our sweet August one day. 💙💙💙💙.”
