Zac Efron might be headed Down Under for good.
In his new Netflix show, Down To Earth With Zac Efron, he mentioned that he wants to get out of Los Angeles. And according to TMZ, Zac is “burnt out living in and around Hollywood” and “doesn’t like the paparazzi following him around town.”
Sources also told the outlet Zac “wants to get far away from Tinseltown.”
So…what’s the 32-year-old actor planning to do? Well, TMZ’s sources say he’s planning to list his place in Los Angeles for sale really soon. And he’s reportedly got his eye on moving full-time to Byron Bay, Australia – yes, the same area where Chris Hemsworth lives!
Won’t it be cool if they actually end up becoming neighbors?
Other sources also say that pandemic has Zac considering making the big move even more. “He considers Byron Bay safer from the virus, and doesn’t expect the danger surrounding COVID-19 to go away anytime soon.”
But fans don’t need to worry – he doesn’t plan to leave the entertainment biz. According to sources, “he’s just ready for a change of scenery.”
With the wonders of today’s technology, Zac doesn’t physically need to be in L.A. to get gigs – he can have meetings via Zoom or Facetime. And, besides, most of his recent projects weren’t even shot in L.A.
If this all pans out, it sure looks like Byron Bay is fast becoming the place to be for A-listers!
