Troy and Gabriella have both returned to East High!
Zac Efron, who played Troy Bolton in the smash hit High School Musical movie series on Disney, has gone back to the high school where the films were filmed.
The 34-year-old actor took to Instagram on Friday (July 22) to share a photo of himself standing outside of the school in Salt Lake City. To caption the adorable photo, he wrote:
“Don’t you… Forget about me.”
Zac’s on-screen dad and coach from the HSM films, Bart Johnson, commented:
“Warms coaches ole heart to see this. Welcome home, son. WHAT TEAM!?”
His visit comes at the heels of another East High alum paying visit to their on-screen alma mater: Vanessa Hudgens!
Back in late June, Vanessa, who played Gabriella Montez on the films, likewise took a trip down memory lane, going back to the school as well. The 33-year-old actress took to Instagram to share a little snippet of her quick visit, sharing a photo of herself standing outside of the school. She captioned it with one of the songs from the first movie:
“Breaking Free.”
Troy and Gabriella were the High School Musical franchise’s OTP — and as we all know, Zac and Vanessa were together off-screen as well and were the IT Young Hollywood couple back in the day.
Now, their visits are giving HSM and Zanessa fans all the feels!
