Zachary Levi is getting candid about Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s involvement in the DC cinematic universe.
The Shazam star has commented on the report that Dwayne blocked his DC character Black Adam from appearing in an end credits scene for Zachary’s film Shazam! Fury of the Gods.
Director David F. Sandberg confirmed in a recent interview that characters from Black Adam were supposed to appear in the end credits scene. He said:
“There were supposed to be characters from [Black Adam’s] Justice Society, but that fell apart three days before we were going to roll the cameras.
So, Peter Safran, who produced this movie and Peacemaker, made some calls, and thankfully, Jen Holland and Steve Agee were able to come by on very short notice.”
TheWrap just reported that apparently it was Dwayne himself who blocked the Black Adam actors from making an appearance in the movie. Reportedly, he also blocked Zachary from making an appearance in Black Adam!
Well, Zachary has taken to social media to comment on the reports. He posted on his Instagram Stories on Tuesday afternoon (March 21), writing these very telling words along with an upside down happy face emoji and a praising hands emoji:
“The truth shall set you free.”
