Zayn Malik has sent ripples of excitement through his fanbase as he drops hints about embarking on his inaugural solo tour while giving insights into his creative journey in a recent interview.

Fresh off the heels of his latest album, “Room Under the Stairs,” the 31-year-old heartthrob took center stage for his first solo performance earlier this month, marking a significant milestone in his musical odyssey since bidding adieu to One Direction almost a decade ago.

With his debut solo show now in the books, Zayn is eagerly eyeing the prospect of hitting the road for a full-fledged tour. “The chances are pretty high,” he said during a candid chat on SiriusXM’s The Morning Mash Up. He expressed his eagerness to dive back into rehearsals to put together a show that resonates with his fans, drawing inspiration from the electric atmosphere of his recent gig at Shepherd’s Bush. “Getting straight back into rehearsals as soon as I can and I’m gonna get a show together ‘cause I really enjoyed the Shepherd’s Bush gig.

Reflecting on the overwhelming response from his supporters, Zayn gushed, “The response from the fans was amazing, so I want to feel a bit more of that love, you know?”

Addressing the nuances of his artistic process, the singer-songwriter emphasized the importance of authenticity over conforming to a predetermined mold.

“I don’t want to play a character, you know,” he asserted, underscoring his commitment to staying true to himself in his musical endeavors.

For Zayn, crafting genuine, heartfelt music entails a meticulous journey of self-discovery and introspection, rather than succumbing to the pressures of churning out content to meet arbitrary deadlines or commercial expectations.

“I want to be me, and it takes longer and takes more self-reflection and it’s a longer process, you know? So, I think, you know, when people have a deadline and they want to get things out for a business sense, that would make sense, you know, for you to make things that fit different character backdrops or whatever, but for me, I just want it to feel genuine and like it comes from me, so yeah. It’s always the main intention behind my creation,” Zayn elaborated, offering a glimpse into his artistic ethos.
