The Golden Globes returned to NBC on Tuesday night (January 10), honoring the past year’s best in entertainment.
The 80th edition of the ceremony took place at the Beverly Hilton and aired live on both NBC and Peacock after NBC declined to air it last year in the wake of a Los Angles Times expose in 2021. The expose sparked a boycott from the industry and spurred many reforms by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
Hosted by Jerrod Carmichael, the 2023 Golden Globes saw an increase in the number of awards handed out this year, bearing up acting honors into separate categories. Eddie Murphy was presented with the 2023 Cecil B. DeMille Award and Ryan Murphy was honored with the Carol Burnett Award.
