Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez are just one of the couples who’ve been adjusting their plans to tie the knot amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Wedding plans, along with many other events, all over the world have been put on hold for the foreseeable future as the world continues to practice social distancing and staying home to help stop the spread of the virus.

After taking the next step in their relationship, Jennifer shared that they were taking it slow with the wedding planning. It’s been over a year since Alex popped the question and J.Lo said “yes,” (they got engaged May 2019) and the couple was reportedly gearing up to say “I do” this summer. But in light of the global crisis, J.Lo told Ellen DeGeneres that all their plans have been put in a “holding pattern.”

“It did affect it a little bit. We will see what happens now. Honestly, I really don’t know what’s going to happen now as far as dates of anything like that,” J.Lo said of her big day on Ellen during a guest appearance earlier this month. “We’re kinda of just in a holding pattern like the rest of the world. Again, it’s just something we’re going to have to wait and see in a few months how this all pans out.”

More recently, A-Rod opened up to Entertainment Tonight about being preparing for multiple scenarios with regards to their upcoming plans – including the wedding, “going on tour next summer,” and even movie projects that they might have in the works.

“We had a meeting on Zoom with our core [group of people], kind of just going over what the next 12 months look like and we have three or four different variations of how that can look,” Alex shared.

“It’s such a fluid world,” he continued. “Usually when you underwrite a year — whether [in terms of] scheduling or financially — you never think that it’s going to just stop like this. So we’re having to be very fluid, think on our feet and just think very proactively”

“At the same time, I think the most important thing for everybody is to practice great discipline and stay at home,” he added. “We have to do this together and every person counts. The way we’re going to beat this thing is together.”

The couple is currently quarantining together with their blended family – Alex’s two daughters, Natasha and Ella, and J.Lo’s twins, Max and Emme – in A-Rod’s home in Miami, Florida. But they’re also doing their part to give back and help raise money for charities during the pandemic.

J.Lo virtually reunited with her ex Diddy’s (real name: Sean Combs) Team Love Dance-A-Thon fundraiser on Easter Sunday (April 12) in the form of the “world’s biggest dance-a-thon” on his Instagram Live to help raise money for healthcare workers in underserved areas = and Alex made a special appearance on the livestream, too.

Alex is also taking part in the #AllInChallenge to raise money for charities providing food for those in need during the pandemic.

“Athletes, entertainers, musicians, we have a responsibility, this is our debt, we’re one of the few people that are so privileged to be in this position,” Alex explained. “It is our duty to serve our country and to serve those that need us most, because this is when America comes together.”

Alex is putting his cherished World Series Trophy up for auction.

“I gotta tell you, the world is so full of fear right now and is so divided, nothing brings people together like music and sports,” he added. “This is our way of participating and giving back.”

Other celebs like Leonardo Di Caprio, Justin Bieber, Drake, Ciara, and more are also going “all in” to help out.
