The 47th Daytime EMMY Awards honored the outstanding achievements across soap operas, talk shows, game shows and more on Friday (June 26) in a virtual ceremony.

“Tonight, we did not let the worldwide pandemic of COVID-19 keep us from honoring some of the most talented contributors to our Daytime Television community,” Adam Sharp, President & CEO of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS), said.  “We celebrated not only the best programming and performances of the last year, but reflected on the legacy of Daytime’s biggest moments and icons.”

The two-hour special was hosted by The Talk’s Sharon Osbourne, Sheryl Underwood, Eve, Carrie Ann Inaba and Marie Osmond, from their respective homes amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Gayle King, Kelsey Grammer, Kathie Lee Gifford, Scott Evans, Kevin Frazier, Wayne Brady, Michael Strahan, Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest, and more also appeared as presenters.

The virtual awards show announced winners across 19 categories, with 24 more announced on the Daytime EMMYs Official Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts immediately following the broadcast. (Digital Drama categories will be streamed in a separate ceremony on July 19).
