Fans are convinced that there will be at least two collabs on Taylor Swift’s upcoming release of the re-recorded Fearless (Taylor’s version) on April 9th – and both artists have a very personal connection to Taylor.
It all started when Selena went on Instagram Monday (March 22) to post throwback pics of her and BFF Taylor hanging out.
“Kinda missing this one,” Selena captioned the photos.
Plus, Taylor hopped on the comments to respond, “I love you like a love song bay beh.”
While Sel and Tay have been BFFs for over a decade, they rarely post photos of each other on social media – but when they do, it definitely makes their legions of fans sit up and take notice.
TSwift has been hailed by fans as the queen of Easter eggs – she’s mastered the art of hiding clues in just about anything which hint at something big. Naturally, Swifties put on their thinking caps to try and decode the meaning behind the post – and are convinced that Selena’s post IS an Easter egg, and it has something to do with the release of Fearless (Taylor’s Version).

“i love u like a love song bay beh” = 9 words. fearless (taylor’s version) is out on april 9,” one fan tweeted, coming to the conclusion that, “SELENA IS FEATURED ON FEARLESS ITS TRUE.”
“YALL SELENA’S POST IS 4 WORDS AND TAYLOR’S REPLY IS 9,” another wrote, adding, “9+4 = 13 OMGOMGOMG 🚨”
“AHHH I CRACKED THE CODE!! 18 letters 18 days April 9th Fearless (Taylor’s version) Vault song ft Selena Gomez,” another fans shared.
While the original release of Fearless didn’t include a Selena feature – fans are now convinced one of the six “vault” songs that Tay mentioned was going to be included in Fearless (Taylor’s version) might.
Adding more fuel to the fire is Katy Perry, who went ahead and dropped this line in an episode of American Idol about duets: “Can you imagine if Taylor and I work together…what we could do?”
If you didn’t know, Taylor and Katy have quite a history – they were rumored to be feuding for years, but have since patched things up. Fans know it’s all good between them, especially since Katy made a cameo in the music video of “You Need To Calm Down.”
The two still haven’t worked together on a song, though. But now that Katy’s stoked the fire about a possible collab, fans think Fearless (Taylor’s Version) will include a bonus track that features Katy!
