Ariana Grande, the multi-talented artist, has recently opened up about her journey with beauty treatments, specifically Botox and lip fillers, and the reasons behind her decision to stop them. In a candid moment during a skincare and makeup routine video with Vogue, Ariana shared her thoughts and experiences.

With a touch of emotion in her voice, Ariana revealed that over the years, she had undergone numerous lip filler injections and Botox treatments. It was a decision she made as a part of her beauty routine. However, in 2018, she decided to put a halt to these procedures. She explained that at that point, she felt like it had become too much, and she found herself wanting to hide her appearance. She said:

“Full transparency, as a beauty person. I’ve had a ton of lip filler over the years. And Botox. I stopped in 2018 [because] I just felt so…too much. I just felt like hiding, you know? Didn’t expect to get emotional.”

Ariana’s decision to stop these treatments was a turning point for her. She expressed that she didn’t expect to become emotional about it, but she realized that for a long time, her approach to beauty had been about concealing her natural features. She felt that it was time to embrace her true self:

“For a long time it was about hiding for me. And now I feel like maybe it’s not. Since I stopped getting fillers and Botox, and maybe I’ll start again one day…I know for me, I was like, ‘oh. I wanna see my well earned cry lines and smile lines.’”

She went on to say that, despite her past choices, she now wants to see her “well-earned” smile lines and laugh lines. Ariana expressed a hope that her smile lines would become deeper as she laughed more and that aging could be a beautiful journey:

“I hope my smile lines get deeper and deeper and I laugh more and more. And I just think aging can be such a beautiful thing.”

Ariana’s words reflect a sense of acceptance and appreciation for the changes that come with age. She acknowledges that she may consider getting a facelift in the future but stresses the importance of open conversations about beauty secrets and choices, saying:

“Now, might I get a face lift in 10 years? Might! Yea! But, these are just thought I feel like we should be able to discuss if we’re sitting here talking about beauty secrets.”

Her honesty encourages a more transparent and empathetic dialogue about beauty standards and personal decisions.

In essence, Ariana Grande’s candid discussion about her experience with Botox and lip fillers and her decision to stop them serves as a reminder that beauty is a personal journey. It’s about choices that make individuals feel comfortable and confident in their own skin. Ariana’s hope for embracing her natural smile lines and the acceptance of aging as a beautiful process resonates with many who may have similar thoughts and concerns about their appearance. Her openness paves the way for more conversations that challenge conventional beauty norms and promote self-acceptance and self-love.
