Ariana Grande continues to break records!
According to the Guinness World Records, Ari has officially earned her 20th Guiness World Record for being the first-ever artist to debut a song at the top spot of Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart five times with her single, “Positions.”
“Iconic pop star @ArianaGrande has made history with her new album #Positions, achieving her 20th record for the most songs to debut at number one on the @Billboard Hot 100,” GWR announced in a tweet, adding, “She is officially the first artist to ever do this with five songs.”
Ari dominated the Billboard Hot 100 with her singles “thank u, next,” “7 rings,” “Stuck with U,” and “Rain on Me,” which all debuted at No. 1. “Positions,” which charted at the top spot the week of November 7th, is her latest single to add to the impressive record.
While it’s not uncommon for artists to score multiple No. 1 debuts on the Billboard Hot 100, the closest that Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Mariah Carey, Drake and Travis Scott have come is three songs debuting at the chart’s top spot, while Lady Gaga, BTS and Britney Spears have two.
