Ariana Grande is letting fans in on the day she said “I do” to Dalton Gomez!
ICYMI, the 27-year-old popstar tied the knot with the real-estate agent in a small private ceremony on May 15. The couple began dating in January of last year and went public with their romance in May. By December, they took their relationship to the next level and got engaged. They’ve mostly kept details of their romance on the DL, and kept their wedding a secret until after it happened – but Ari is finally giving fans a glimpse into her special day, which took place in their home in Montecito, California.
In photos Ari posted on her Instagram, the bride looked absolutely gorgeous in her custom Vera Wang wedding gown – a custom lily-white silk charmeuse empire waist column gown with a corseted top and low scooped back. She completed the look with a shoulder-length hand-pleated bubble veil, custom Guiseppe Zanotti platform heels and pearl and diamond jewellery by Lorraine Schwartz.
So how did Ari score a custom wedding gown from one of the most iconic wedding gown designers on such short notice? Apparently, they’d decided to work on it together years ago – when they saw each other at the Met Gala. And the look was inspired by Audrey Hepburn’s character, Jo Stockton, in Funny Face.
Meanwhile, Dalton looked dapper in a Tom Ford suit. Some of the photos Ari shared showed the loved-up pair looking totally ecstatic as they kissed each on camera – Dalton even carried Ari bridal-style in one of them.
The couple said “I do” in a room filled with the soft glow of candlelight and flowers hanging down from the ceiling. The tables at the reception were also decked out with lush green table arrangements.
According to Vogue, the wedding only had 20 guests in attendance – and Ari’s parents, mom Joan Grande and dad Ed Butera, both walked her down the aisle. Even her beloved furbaby Toulouse was also part of the ceremony!
