Ariana Grande has just become part of the superstar lineup of coaches on The Voice!

The “Thank U, Next” singer announced her exciting new gig on social media by sharing a photo of herself all glammed up in a leopard print ensemble leaning against one of the show’s iconic coach’s swivel chairs.

“surprise !!! i am beyond thrilled, honored, excited to be joining @kellyclarkson @johnlegend @blakeshelton next season ~ season 21 of @nbcthevoice ! @nickjonas we will miss you,” she wrote in the caption.

She also shared a statement  via NBC: “I’m so honored and excited to join The Voice family! I have been a huge fan of the show for such a long time. I can’t wait to go head-to-head with the incredible coaches, get to know these new artists and help to take their craft to the next level.”

NBC also released a statement expressing their excitement at Ari joining the show.

“As an undeniable force in pop music, Ariana’s inimitable success in the music industry is extraordinary,” Jenny Groom, Executive Vice President of Unscripted Content for NBCUniversal Television and Streaming, said Tuesday (Marh 30). “We were thrilled to learn that she is a true fan of ‘The Voice’ and know that this enthusiasm will add to her impact as a dynamic coach. Ariana is a visionary with over a decade of experience in the music industry. Her unmatched vocal skills, creativity and unique expertise on all facets of the industry will make her an invaluable coach to the next generation of artists.”

Ari is the latest superstar singer who have appeared on the show, including Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani, Alicia Keys, Miley Cyrus, and Nick Jonas, who is on the show’s current season.

Nick went on Twitter to warmly welcome her to The Voice family. “You’re going to kill it next season!” he wrote. “Welcome to the family.”

Nick and Gwen have been alternating in the coach’s chair over the past few seasons, but it looks like Ari will be taking over next season. She’ll be joining coaches Blake Shelton, John Legend and Kelly Clarkson in season 21, which is expected to air this fall.

A lot has been going on in Ari’s life over the past few months – in December, she announced the she and beau Dalton Gomez got engaged. She also won a GRAMMY earlier this month for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her collab with Lady Gaga, “Rain on Me.”
