Hollywood’s most stylish dazzled at the Met Gala on Monday (September 13), serving up fierce fashion and striking looks on the red carpet (which was actually beige) of fashion’s biggest night.

While many wowed in their couture ensembles at this year’s benefit gala, held at Metropolitan Museum Of Art Costume Institute, there were also some style stars who were notably absent from the Met Gala – among them, Bella Hadid.

The annual event is usually held on the first Monday of May, however, due to the pandemic, last year’s event was cancelled. This year’s was moved to September, and required proof of COVID-19 vaccination as per a New York City mandate for attending indoor events.

She and sister, Gigi Hadid, usually attend the event together. But Gigi was at the Met Gala, where she debuted her fiery copper hair, which was styled in a high ponytail, to go with her stunning white Prada gown.

There have been speculations that those who skipped the event is because of the safety protocols in place – but Bella went on Instagram Story to make her vaccination status clear.

Posting a photo of herself getting the jab, she captioned it, “for anyone concerned 🖤, ”

Some have spoken out about the vaccine requirement for the event, like Nicki Minaj, who went on Twitter to share that it was why she was not in attendance at fashion’s equivalent of the Oscars.

“They want you to get vaccinated for the Met. If I get vaccinated it won’t for the Met. It’ll be once I feel I’ve done enough research,” she wrote in part, later adding, “So just pray on it & make sure you’re comfortable with ur decision, not bullied.”

Her tweet received much criticism online, she also noted in a response to a fan that people who could lose their jobs over it should get the shot, adding, “I’m sure I’ll b vaccinated as well cuz I have to go on tour, etc.”
