Big Time Rush is back, baby!
Last week, BTR was trending on Twitter as fans speculated about a big announcement after the four band members – Logan Henderson, James Maslow, Carlos PenaVega, and Kendall Schmidt – and Big Time Rush’s official social media account all changed their profile photos to a blank red color at the same time.
And they just made a BIG announcement on social media:
“BIG TIME RUSH LIVE! WE ARE BACK!” the Big Time Rush official Instagram account captioned a fun video featuring all four band members. “It’s been a minute, but we couldn’t be more excited to see you! Lets make up for lost time.”
Logan, James, Carlos and Kendall came together and rose to fame in the series Big Time Rush in 2009. They’ve since released three studio albums and set off on five tours from 2011 to 2014.
In June of last year, Big Time Rush had a virtual reunion to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their song “Worldwide” and have since teased that an actual band reunion might be happening soon.
It’s been eight years since Big Time Rush went on hiatus, but it appears they’re not wasting any more time before reconnecting with fans.
They also announced two BTR concerts happening THIS December – December 15th at the Chicago Theater in Chicago, Illinois and December 18th at New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom. Fans can sign up for pre-sale access to tickets on the band’s website.
