Say hello to a Free Britney!

What was once just a hashtag and a fan-initiated movement and mantra has become a reality. Britney Spears is free.

After 13 years under a conservatorship spearheaded by her father Jamie Spears, the 39-year-old pop superstar’s conservatorship has finally been terminated indefinitely.

Britney was handed her freedom in court on Friday (November 12) after a twisted and lengthy and complicated road leading to it. It was an explosive, emotional, and highly-publicized time leading to Britney’s big win.

Moments after the news broke, Britney took to social media to express her emotions regarding the amazing news. She wrote on Instagram:

“Good God I love my fans so much it’s crazy 🥺❤️ !!! I think I’m gonna cry the rest of the day !!!! Best day ever … praise the Lord … can I get an Amen 🙏🏼☀️🙌🏼 ???? #FreedBritney.”

On Monday (November 15) she once again took to social media to open up on how happy she’s been since her victory. Britney shared:

“What an amazing weekend … I felt like I was on cloud 9 the whole time ☁️ !!! I actually got my first glass of champagne 🥂 at the most beautiful restaurant I’ve ever seen last night !!!!

I’m celebrating my freedom and my B day for the next two months !!!!!!!!!!! I mean after 13 years … I think I’ve waited long ENOUGH !!!!”

She also thank her lawyer Mathew Rosengart, saying:

“I’m so happy my lawyer Mathew Rosengart came into my life when he did … he has truly turned my life around … I’m forever thankful for that !!!!

What a sight seeing so many people celebrating my victory …. I love my fans so much … so thank you 🌹 !!!!”
