Who knew Cardi B and Penn Badgley interacting on social media would be such a wonderful delight?!
Over the weekend, the two stars expressed their admiration for one another — and we are all here for their adorable fan-girling over each other!
Here’s what went down:
At Netflix’s In Conversation With YOU event, Penn went into detail about all the negative ways that his character on the show, Joe Goldberg, would use social media for his nefarious ways. He admitted that he himself is not all that savvy when it comes to using it.
Penn went on to praise Cardi and the authentic relationship she is able to cultivate on social media. Here’s what he said about her:
“I really appreciate people who have this totally second-nature relationship to it. Because that’s when you have something meaningful and substantive to post, then I think it really comes through and people appreciate it all the more.
Cardi B is a great example of that. She has such an authentic relationship.”
Cardi then took to her social media to repost the clip of Penn talking about her. Sharing the video on her Twitter account, she shared her excitement at him mentioning her, adorably writing:
“OOOOMMFFFGGGGGG HE KNOWS ME !!!😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱OMMMGGGG!!!!!!Yoooo like I’m famous famous.”
Shortly after that, Penn retweeted Cardi’s tweet, hilariously conveying speechlessness by writing:
