If plans end up coming to fruition, Kal Penn’s going to have a very interesting – and very fabulous! – person officiating his upcoming nuptials!

Days after announcing his engagement to his longtime love Josh, actor Kal Penn had a very adorable exchange on social media with none other than Cardi B. The super cute interaction took place on Twitter, with the rapper ending up offering her services to marry the engaged pair.

It all started when Kal and Cardi were on the same plane during a flight to Los Angeles. Kal tweeted this:

“Cardi B was on my flight to LA. I fell asleep and had a dream that she officiated our wedding on the plane and the three of us walked out of LAX holding hands.”

The every friendly and uber sweet Cardi responded to Kal’s tweet. You gotta read what she wrote in reply:

“First, why didn’t you say hi! Second, I’m licensed to do that sooo… let me know.”

Kal then replied to Cardi’s offer, expressing how much he would be “down” for it:

“You’re the best. Was gonna say hi but didn’t want to be disrespectful (your do not disturb light was on). But holy s—- let’s do it! We’re down if you’re down!”

And Cardi declared in response to Kal:

“I’m down I’ll get my suit.”

That. Would. Be. Epic

In his new book, Kal talked more about his fiancé Josh, saying:

“I’m really excited to share our relationship with readers. But Josh, my partner, my parents, and my brother, four people who I’m closest to in the family, are fairly quiet. They don’t love attention and shy away from the limelight.”

He stated his desire to be as authentic as can be in his narrative:

“Figuring out the narrative [in the book], of how to respect who they really are, with telling my story — that includes: my work life, both in Hollywood and DC, it includes my love life with Josh and how we met, it includes my parents, to the extent that I’m willing to share stories about their upbringing. So that was the most important thing for me. I wanted my story to be authentic from my perspective and told in a way that makes you feel like you really get to know me.”

Kal went on to say that during their first date, he actually didn’t think he and Josh would work out:

“I thought, ‘This obviously is not going to work out. I have one day off from The White House and this dude is unironically watching cars go around and make left turns? Next thing you know, it’s been a couple months and we’re watching NASCAR every Sunday. I’m like, ‘What is happening?’ I wanted the reader to enjoy the love and the humor through all of those stories.”

He also opened up about when he discovered his own sexuality:

“I discovered my own sexuality relatively late in life compared to many other people. There’s no timeline on this stuff. People figure their s—- out at different times in their lives, so Im glad I did when I did.”

Kal and Josh have been together for eleven years. Congratulations to the happy couple — and looking forward to Cardi B officiating the wedding, too!
