Country music star Chris Young found himself in the spotlight for reasons he likely didn’t anticipate when a night out took a turn for the unexpected. The 38-year-old singer was arrested in Nashville after an altercation at Dawghouse Saloon on Monday night, leading to three charges that are now making headlines.

The charges against Chris Young include disorderly conduct, assaulting an officer, and resisting arrest, marking a surprising incident for the usually low-key musician. The arrest unfolded during a compliance check by police at Tin Roof bar, where Chris happened to be at the time.

As per reports from People, the arrest affidavit details that officers encountered Chris Young at Tin Roof, checking his ID at the bar. What began as a routine check took an unforeseen turn as the singer started filming the interaction and engaging in conversation with the officers.

The situation escalated when the officers moved to Dawghouse Saloon, with Chris and his friends in tow. It was at this point that the unexpected took a more serious turn, as Chris allegedly “struck” an officer on the shoulder. The officer responded by pushing him away, triggering a sequence of events where Chris reportedly began yelling and refusing to follow directions.

The tension continued to rise as two officers detained Chris, placing him in handcuffs. In a surprising turn, his friends became “hostile,” trailing the officers as they left the bar. Reports indicate that Chris’s speech was “slurred,” and his “eyes were bloodshot and watery.”

After being taken into custody, Chris Young was later released on bonds totaling $2,500—$250 for disorderly conduct, $1,000 for resisting arrest, and $1,250 for the assault charge. The incident has set a court date for Chris, scheduled for February 16th.
