Evangeline Lilly stirred up some controversy on social media when she revealed that she and her family have not been doing any social distancing amidst the coronavirus outbreak.

“#morningtea ☕️ Just dropped my kids off at gymnastics camp,” she captioned photos of a cup of tea. “They all washed their hands before going in. They are playing and laughing. #businessasusual.”

When fans started criticizing her about not quarantining themselves, she explained her family’s decision.

“Where we are right now feels a lot too close to Marshall Law [sic] for my comfort already, all in the name of a respiratory flu,” she wrote. “It’s unnerving… Let’s be vigilant right now. And kind. Watchful and gracious — keeping a close eye on our leaders, making sure they don’t abuse this moment to steal away more freedoms and grab more power.”

She also shared that she’s currently living with her father, who has stage 4 leukemia, and that she herself is also immune-compromised, adding, “I have two young kids. Some people value their lives over freedom, some people value freedom over their lives. We all make our choices.”

Well, it looks like Sophie had some tea of her own, and didn’t shy away from spilling it on social media.

“Stay inside, don’t be f–king stupid. Even if you count your ‘freedom’ over your health. I don’t give a f–k about your ‘freedom,’ you could be infecting other people, other vulnerable people around you. So stay inside guys. It’s not cool, and it’s not clever. And that’s the tea,” she said in a video posted on Instagram Stories.

Her hubby. Joe Jonas, was in the frame with her, and appeared to be proudly supporting his wife’s sentiments.

While Sophie didn’t actually mention any names, fans are speculating that the video may be in response to Evangeline’s post.

The days just start flying and flying, and now we have this thing that’s making us want to call each other, be face-to-face, and show some love… I hope everybody just shows some love.”
