Drake stirred up some controversy when an unreleased collab with Future was played over social media
The song’s lyrics, which made some references to Kylie Jenner, her sister Kendall, as well as Gigi Hadid, raised fans’ eyebrows.

The song was played on Night Owl Sound’s Instagram Live broadcast on Wednesday (May 20).
Drake has been friendly with the Kardashian-Jenners over the years – he’s also friends with Kylie’s boyfriend, Travis Scott. So, the questionable lyrics definitely came as a surprise to fans.
ICYMI, Drake and Kylie were rumored to be dating for a time last year, while she and Travis were on a break from their relationship. It started after she attended his 33rd birthday bash in October. However, sources have said the two are just friends.
“[Drake] and Kylie have been spending time together recently,” a source told People at the time. “They’ve been friends for a long time and Drake is very close to the family.”
“Kylie and Drake are not romantic. They have always been good friends and have been hanging out more [now] that Kylie is single and Drake is in town at his house in Calabasas. It’s a convenient friendship but it’s strictly platonic. Drake is notorious for flirting with all of his girlfriends and him and Kylie have a great dynamic….They aren’t hooking up but Kylie is enjoying having him around,” another source told E! in November.
Kylie and Travis have since rekindled romance and have been together since February.
While some were wondering if the track is a new song that might be dropping soon, Drake went on Instagram Story on Thursday (May 21) to clarify that the song was old and should never have been played.
“A song that mark ran last night on night owl sound live set shouldn’t have been played,” he wrote. “It’s a song that leaked 3 years ago and got scrapped shortly after. He was just going too deep in the drake/future catalogue. Last thing I’d want to do is wake up having any friends of mine feeling disrespected so I just had to say that to start off the day.”
As for Kylie, she didn’t exactly respond being called a “side piece” directly. But she did hit Instagram with reminders for everyone she’s the world’s youngest (and single!) billionaire – with a killer bod, to boot!
