Last week, Kanye West held a massive listening event for his upcoming album, Donda, at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia – and turns out he hasn’t left yet.
Yes, he’s been living at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium since Thursday (July 22) – and was even spotted watching the Atlanta United FC game on Saturday wearing the same outfit he wore to the listening session. According to Ye’s rep, he plans to remain there while finishing his 10th studio album.
Donda, which is named after his late mom who passed away in 2007, was slated to be released on Friday (July 23). However, the release date has since been moved to August 6.
During his listening party last week, Ye’s estranged wife Kim Kardashian, who filed for divorce from the rapper in February, surprised fans when she appeared at the stadium, alongside their four kids – eight-year-old North, five-year-old Saint, three-year-old Chicago, and two-year-old Psalm. Her sister Khloe also attended the event.
Fans were also in for a BIG surprise when the final song played – and JAY-Z rapped out a verse on the track.
Yeezy and Hova were frequent collaborators in the past. However, this song is their first collab in five years.
Up until recently, it was believed that the two were at odds over a not-so-secret feud – Kanye previously said he was “hurt” that Hov and wife Beyonce didn’t attend his 2014 wedding to Kim; he also called them out during a performance on his 2016 Saint Pablo Tour. It seems the two have since patched thing up since.
