Francia Raisa’s recent response when asked about the status of her relationship with Selena Gomez is further fueling rumors of a rift between them.
In case you missed it, Francia donated her kidney to Selena in 2017. They were friends for years before the selfless gesture was made.
In 2022, Selena said in an interview that Taylor Swift is her only friend in the industry. Her statement led to rumors erupting about a falling out between Selena and Francia.
On Sunday (April 30), outlets caught up with Francia and brought up the topic of her friendship with Selena — and how she chose to respond certainly did not quell the feud speculations.
She was asked:
“How’s everything going with you and Selena? Are things good with you guys?”
To this, she replied by changing the subject:
“Sunday is so fun… I’m Francia, I’m hanging out with my dog.”
She was then asked again:
“Do you guys still talk?”
Francia responded by saying:
“Um, it’s a good day isn’t it?”
She continue to talk about the weather. And when she was asked why she does not follow Selena back on Instagram, Francia said:
“Did you know I’m from the Valley?”
Francia was then asked:
“I can’t get anything about you and Selena?”
She answered that it was such a nice day and that she might head to the beach.
The topic swerved to the kidney donation, and Francia was asked:
“Would you do it again?”
Francia said that she would love to talk to people about organ donation:
“I would definitely speak to someone again about organ donation and the process.”
Hmm.
