And the 2023 Golden Globe nominees are…
The nominees for the 2023 Golden Globes have been announced.
On Monday, the list of nominations for the upcoming 80th annual Golden Globes were revealed. The Banshees of Inisherin leads the pack, with eight nods for the film including best picture (musical/comedy) as well as writing and directing nods for Martin McDonagh. On the TV side, Abbott Elementary leads with five nominees, including best actress in a TV series (musical/comedy) for Quinta Brunson, and best TV series (musical/comedy) for the show.
The 2023 Golden Globes is set to return to NBC in January. Th network, which has been home to the Globes since 1996, declined to air the 79th edition of the ceremony this year in the way of an entertainment industry boycott that was sparked by the Los Angeles Times exposes in 2021 revealing that The Hollywood Foreign Press Association contained no Black members and had engaged in conduct that was unethical.
The HFPA has since implemented numerous reforms to address the issues.
The annual awards show will be held on Tuesday, January 10 at 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT and will air live on NBC and Peacock.
