Hailee Steinfeld Feels “Very Lucky” To Play Hawkeye’s Kate Bishop

Hailee Steinfeld is set to make her MARVEL debut as her new series Marvel’s Hawkeye premieres on Disney+ this week. 

The 24-year-old actress takes on the pivotal role of Kate Bishop in the much-awaited show. She stars alongside Jeremy Renner, who headlines the series as Clint Barton / Hawkeye. 

Fans all over the world have been very excited for Hailee and Kate Bishop since her casting and the series were first announced. And now, she’s opening up on how she feels about this very high-profile role. 

In a recent interview with GamesRadar, Hailee spoke about how honored she feels to be joining the MCU. She stated:

“I feel it’s a great privilege, and I’m very excited to be amongst [Black Widow and Captain Marvel].”

She went on to share her thoughts on taking on the Kate Bishop role:

“It’s an honor to be playing this incredibly determined and strong-willed and opinionated young woman. And I’m very excited for people to meet her and to see her in this show.”

Hailee also teased that there may be more to come for Kate, who’s story has just begun:

“I can tell you that [Kate’s story is] beginning in this show, that I am so excited to be a part of, and I just am so excited to be playing a character that people have been so excited to see on the big screen for some time.

I feel very lucky.”

Hawkeye is scheduled to make its debut on November 24 with a two-episode premiere. The six-episode series will conclude on December 22 and is part of the MCU’s Phase Four.
