Halsey is getting candid with fans about their home life as a new mom – baby nursery, stretch marks, and all.
The 26-year-old singer and boyfriend Alev Aydin welcomed son Ender Riley Aydin in July 14 and over the weekend, they shared some photos related to their little bundle of joy.
A couple of photos showed off their baby’s colorful nursery, which features a gallery wall with Ender’s name in colorful letters, assorted artworks, and a neon light in the shape of a rainbow. The room, which has its own terrace, is also decorated with colorful rugs, a comfy chair, and a playful yellow mushroom stool.
There’s also a photo of Ender snuggled in a blanket, as well as a photo of Alev cuddling his son. Halsey also proudly showed off her stretch marks in a close up photo of their belly three weeks after giving birth.
“Well….this is what it look like,” they captioned the slideshow.
Halsey and Alev started sparking dating rumors in January when the “Without Me” singer posted a photo of him on her Instagram, but it wasn’t until they announced their pregnancy that they confirmed their relationship when they tagging him in the post.
In a recent interview with Allure, Halsey also opened up about their relationship with Alev.
“Alev and I have been really good friends for four years,” they said. “And when the stars aligned, our relationship became romantic and it was pretty evident that he and I were both like, ‘Oh, my gosh! You’re the person I’m supposed to start a family with.'”
They also shared why they prefer to keep most details of their relationship private – Halsey is yet to share photos of her son’s face on Instagram.
“I signed up to give my whole life away; my loved ones didn’t,” they told the magazine.
However, that hasn’t stopped the new parents from sharing their journey as new parents on social media – including photos from the hospital that Alev posted a few days after the birth and a photo of the singer breastfeeding their newborn captioned, “#Worldbreastfeedingweek. We arrived just in time!”
Halsey has been candid with fans about their struggles with their reproductive health – from their endometriosis diagnosis, suffering a miscarriage, to seeking treatment and later finding out that becoming a mom was “looking like something that’s gonna happen for me. That’s a miracle.”
They even wrote a song titled “More” in their album Manic, and shared the story behind the track in their album notes for Apple Music: “I’ve been really open about my struggles with reproductive health, about wanting to freeze my eggs and having endometriosis and things like that. For a long time, I didn’t think that having a family was something I was going to be able to do, and it’s very, very important to me.
“Then one day my OB-GYN tells me it’s looking like I maybe can, and I was so moved. It felt like this ascension into a different kind of womanhood. All of a sudden, everything is different. I’m not going to go tour myself to death because I have nothing else to do and I’m overcompensating for not being able to have this other thing that I really want. Now, I have a choice. I’ve never had a choice before.”
