Harry Styles is about to launch something new — and it sounds very, well, pleasing!

The 27-year-old singer and actor is launching a new beauty brand called Pleasing. In his new interview for Dazed’s 2021 winter issue, he discussed his new project, which he says is about “finding those little moments of joy and showing them to people.” Harry stated:

“It’s starting with nail polish, because that was kind of the birth of what it was for. Me seeing a colour on a flower or a wallpaper or something and thinking, ‘Oh, I wanna put that on my nails.’

It was a fun little project, but during the pandemic, and when we eventually named it Pleasing, it felt like it was so much more than nail polish.

I’ve always found that the moments in my life which have brought me the most joy are the small ones, whether it be, you know, the end of the night under the stars or a bite of food, or sitting with your friends thinking, ‘Oh, I’m never gonna forget this.’ It’s always those moments that I find have the longest-lasting effect on me, in terms of sparking something wonderful in me.

I really think that the essence of Pleasing is finding those little moments of joy and showing them to people.”

Sounds amazing!

Harry also touched on what he finds beautiful, saying:

“I don’t think being beautiful or feeling beautiful is about looking good. When people are happy and glowing, they’re radiating. And that’s what I think the products do, it’s about helping you feel beautiful.

Hmm, when do I feel my most beautiful? I would say internally, when I’ve finished meditating or something… Or maybe when I’m asleep!”

He also opened up for the first time about his latest big screen role as Eros in The Eternals. He adorably said:

“I’m only in right at the very end. But who didn’t grow up wanting to be a superhero, you know?”

Harry added that being part of the film even in just that small capacity was “a great experience and I’m so grateful to have gotten to work with [director] Chloe [Zhao].”

A while back, Chloe spoke about that particular bit of casting, saying of Harry as Eros:

“It wasn’t like I suggested Eros, and let’s go find actors. I kept tabs on Harry since Dunkirk, I thought he was very interesting. After meeting him I realized he is that character—the same way I cast the rest of my cast. There’s so much of Eros in him.

For me, if he says yes and Kevin says yes then it’s a go. And I’m very happy they both did.”
