Addison Rae shocked fans on Thursday (October 14) night when she jokingly announced on Twitter that she might need to get a job.
The reason? It appears she’s allegedly “permanently banned” from TikTok because of “multiple violations of our Community Guidelines.”
The content creator posted a screen shot of the message on Twitter and joked “Well time to get a job.”
When TikTok users tried to check out her profile on the app at the time, they got this message instead: “Couldn’t find this account.”
Addison is among the most popular celebrities on the platform – she’s the third most-followed user on TikTok with 85 million followers. She since racked up quite a following on other platforms as well – including Instagram, where she has 40.1 million followers; Twitter with 4.8 million followers; and YouTube where she’s garnered 4.7 million subscribers.
More recently, she’s delved into acting and music, starring in He’s All That and releasing her debut single “Obsessed” earlier this year.
It’s unclear what exactly those “multiple violations” were, but there have been other TikTok celebrities who were banned before and subsequently returned to the platform.
By Friday (October 15), however, Addison’s TikTok account seems to be up and running again, although, as of the writing of this article, she’s yet to post new content. She’s also yet to provide an update on what happened hours earlier.
